The AMH Anchorage Cup Citizen Races are five ski races sponsored by the Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage. Skiers of all ages and abilities are welcome. The goal is to have fun, ski on well-groomed trails, test your ability, meet new friends and see old ones. ** Prize Drawings and refreshments after some races **

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE RACES?

DO ONE OF THE THREE OPTIONS BELOW :

1. Register on-line (NEW TO 2007-08: YOUTH CAN SIGN UP ONLINE)

Online registration must be completed by 11 AM Saturday before the race.

2. or Mail completed form along with payment to:

NOTE ON YOUTH: Youth (Age 14 and under as of 12/31/07) generally ski a 2k "fun" (untimed) course.
Race-Day registration will be accepted at the race location from 10 to 11 AM.

SPRINT RELAY Dec 9, 2007	A fun way to kick off the racing season. Two-person relay teams take turns skiing freestyle around a one kilometer loop starting and finishing in the Kincaid stadium. Each skier does the loop two times. Age categories based on the average age of the skiers on each relay team. If you don't already have a teammate show up early and we will help find one for you. SVEN JOHANSON Feb 17, 2008	A 10k and 30k freestyle ski race. The 30k race is the famous “Tour of Kincaid”. RACE CONDITIONS

Anchorage Cup races will not be held when weather or trail conditions pose a safety risk to participants. When weather or trail conditions are marginal we will encourage participants to enter the shorter distance events. The minimum air temperature that races will be held is -20 C (-5 F). Windy conditions, especially when combined with cold weather, are also a safety concern.

The Race Director will make a final determination regarding the acceptability of racing conditions as soon as possible but no later than 10 AM the morning of the race. A race that cannot be held due to unsafe conditions will be rescheduled and if there are no available dates it will be cancelled. Registration fees will not be refunded.
