Course:
Younger juniors, under age 13, ski a 3.0-4.5km course and do not carry a rifle. Junior girls/boys and older usually race 6.0-12.5 km courses.
Younger junior class shoot only from prone position; all others shoot both prone and standing.

U.S. Biathlon Association membership is required for practicing at the range and racing.
USBA Annual Membership Fees
Junior competitor (under age 21 years) - $25
Competitor, Coach, Official, Supporter (age 21+) - $50
There is still a $10 daily fee for those who just want to come to a race.
NSAA membership is encouraged.
