Welcome!

The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) is pleased to once again host an FIS Continental Cup event, the Anchorage Winterstart NorAm.  From junior nordic events to World Cup competitions, the NSAA has the commitment and experience to provide an environment conducive to top-notch cross country skiing competitions.  With its stunning backdrop of Cook Inlet, Mt. Susitna, and the Alaska Range (including Denali), Kincaid Park offers a world class “sea level” environment as the quest begins to represent the United States at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.

Cross-country skiing competitions in early November are a challenge at any homologated venue anywhere on the international racing scene.  Preparations are being made to ensure the homologated trail system of Kincaid Park is utilized.  Safety of the competitors and officials will not be compromised.  To that end, every reasonable effort will be made to host these races within the Municipality of Anchorage.

The southeast section of the stadium has been designated for service representatives, technicians, and factory team representatives. Tents and enclosures may be erected in this area. A map will be posted in the waxing facility designating the location.
