Speedskate/Skate ski duathlon, Cuddy Family Midtown Park, Anchorage

Sunday, January 10, 2010
There are many similarities between speedskating and skate skiing technique. Combing the two in a single race is fun and challenging. The event consists of about 4 km of skating, then about 4 km of skate skiing. The event is the only skiing event in Midtown Park this winter, and it is also to help fundraise for nice ice at the skating oval. There are categories for men, women, kids, as well as relays for men, women, and mixed. One entry fee for all the races you can enter. For details see the website: http://www.alaskaspeedskating.com/duathlon.html
