Ski Lessons Program Details
  • Private Lessons
    Try this one-on-one in-depth lesson that focuses on exactly what YOU need. Or plan a group lesson and learn with up to 10 friends (for a cost effective and efficient lesson, we recommend the group be at the same ski skill level). 60 minutes of instruction. Time and date is up to you! Locations: Russian Jack, Kincaid, or Hillside (meeting at Service HS next to the small gym). To ensure instructor availability, please register a week in advance.
    Cost: NSAA Members & non-members: $50 for one person (add $25 for additional person, i.e. $75 for two, $100 for three, up to ten people) (call the NSAA office to arrange a lesson for more than three people)
  • Learn To Ski With AARP
    Looking to learn something new? It’s never too late to try Nordic Skiing! NSAA and AARP are introducing a special 50/50 offer, 50% off on a ski lesson for those 50 and up. Big goals this winter? This is a great opportunity to guarantee that those New Year’s resolutions will last! This eight week session will go through the basics of cross-country skiing to get you out and enjoying the snow this winter.

Wednesdays: January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25 (6-7 pm at Russian Jack Chalet)
Cost: NSAA Members $120; Non-members $140 (four lessons, 1.5 hours each)

  • REI Beginning Skate and Classic Skiing
    This is a 4 lesson series for adults new to skiing! The series will guide you through equipment decisions, local trail information, ski events in our community and beyond! Due to inclement weather forcing a lesson to be cancelled, make-up days will be scheduled for each session! REI is extending a 15% off discount to students for rentals during their session. The first night of each new session meets in the conference room at REI at 6:30pm to go over gear recommendations and other information you'll need before getting on skis.


    1st Session, Skate Technique - CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF SNOW
    Tuesday, November 11, 2014, 6:30 pm at Anchorage REI
    November 13, 18, and 20 will all meet at Kincaid at the stadium parking lot at 6:30 pm

    2nd Session, Skate Technique
    Tuesday, December 2, 2014, 6:30 pm at Anchorage REI
    December 4, 9 and 11 all meet at Kincaid at 6:30 pm

    3rd Session, Classic Technique
    Tuesday, January 6, 6:30 pm at Anchorage REI
    January 8, 13 and 15 all meet at Kincaid at 6:30 pm

    4th Session, Skate Technique
    Tuesday, January 20, 6:30 pm at Anchorage REI
    January 22, 27 and 29 all meet at Kincaid at 6:30 pm

    5th Session, Classic Technique
    Tuesday, February 10, 6:30 pm at Anchorage REI
    February 12, 17 and 19 all meet at Kincaid at 6:30 pm

Cost: NSAA Members $120; Non-members $140 (four lessons, 1.5 hours each)

  • "Tune Up Your Tour" Lessons
    The Tour is March 8, 2014 this year so come on out and get ready! These lessons focus on technique to make you an efficient skier.
    Sunday Skate Technique: 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1 (2-3 pm at Kincaid Stadium)
    Sunday Classic Technique: 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1 (2-3 pm at Kincaid Stadium)
    Cost: NSAA Members $25 per lesson or $80 for all four; Non-members $30 per lesson or $85 for all four
  • Ladies Only Lesson
    Looking for ways to make this year your personal best at The Ski for Women? Here's your chance:
    Sunday Skate Technique: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25 (2-3 pm at Kincaid Stadium)
    Sunday Classic Technique: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25 (2-3 pm at Kincaid Stadium)
    Cost: NSAA Members $25 per lesson or $60 for all three; Non-members $35 per lesson or $70 for all three
  • Kids Lessons
    Groups encouraged! Was Junior Nordic already full when you tried to sign your child up? Or would you like your kids to learn the joy of skiing with friends without the commitment to an entire Junior Nordic season? Let us design the right lesson for you!
