NSAA SCHOLARSHIPS
The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) will award one or more
scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year. The award is for one academic year, and may
be used for any educationally related expenses at any college or university chosen by the
scholarship winner. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college or university.
2009 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES:

The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s college scholarships.
South High student Andrew Dougherty, West High student Mark Hansen, and East High student Christina Knapp will each receive a $1,000 college scholarship. Mr. Dougherty, Ms. Knapp, and Mr. Hanson were selected for these scholarships based on their enthusiasm and commitment to cross country skiing, their community contributions and their outstanding achievements in both skiing and academics.
Mr. Dougherty plans on attending University of Denver this fall. Ms. Knapp will be attending Williams College in Massachusetts and Mr. Hansen will be attending Bowdoin College in Maine.

The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cross-country skiing as a healthy form of individual and family activity NSAA has awarded college scholarships to Anchorage area high school seniors and college students for over twenty years.
