NSAA SCHOLARSHIPS

Skiers graduating in 2008 and skiers who are currently attending college are eligible for the scholarship. Application Due Date is April 1, 2008.

2007 Scholarship Awardees:

The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) is pleased to announce four college scholarships awarded for the 2007 year. Service High student, Patrick Johnson, received a $1500 college scholarship and Alice Bradley (Chugiak High), Sara Lucey (Bartlett High), and Hanna Johnson (Service High) each received a $1000 college scholarship.  Mr. Johnson, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Lucey and Ms. Bradley were selected for these scholarships based on their enthusiasm and commitment to cross country skiing, their community contributions and their outstanding achievements in both skiing and academics.

Mr. Johnson will be attending Middlebury College in Vermont. Ms Johnson and Ms Lucey both attend University of Alaska, Anchorage and Ms. Bradley is attending Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.

The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cross-country skiing as a healthy form of individual and family activity NSAA has awarded college scholarships to Anchorage area high school seniors and college students for over twenty years.
