ABOUT US - NSAA Scholarships
The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) will award one or more scholarships for the 2011-2012 school year. The award is for one academic year, and may be used for any educationally related expenses at any college or university chosen by the scholarship winner. Scholarships are awarded based on performance and achievement. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college or university.

The 2010-11 Scholarship Recipients:
The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s college scholarships. A total of $9,000 in scholarship funds were awarded to seven outstanding student-athletes.
UAA student Branden Fontana and South High student Karina Packer will receive Dr. Elizabeth Tower Memorial scholarships thanks to the generosity of Dr. Tower’s family and friends. NSAA scholarships were awarded to UAA student Rachel Carey, South High students Sam Dougherty and Emily Rogers, Service High student Peter Mamrol, and Chugiak High student Iain Miller. Students were all selected for these scholarships based on their enthusiasm and commitment to cross country skiing, their community contributions and their outstanding achievements in both skiing and academics.

The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cross-country skiing as a healthy form of individual and family activity NSAA has awarded college scholarships to Anchorage area high school seniors and college students for over twenty five years.
