Lead the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage to new heights!
The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage’s (NSAA) is seeking an Executive Director (ED) who is a highly-skilled nonprofit professional to provide primary leadership, strategic vision, and clear direction to achieve NSAA’s mission and organizational success.
The ED leads the organization’s development and strategic planning; optimizes financial performance and fiscal activities; oversees and supports delivery of high-quality programs, events and trail sustainability; builds and maintains member, partner, donor, sponsor and volunteer relationships; represents the organization to the public; and manages an engaged workforce of staff and volunteers. The ED develops overall strategy, sound practices and supportive relationships and partnerships, both internal and external, resulting in cooperative and effective collaborations that furthers NSAA’s mission, impact and sustainability. The ED reports directly to NSAA’s Board of Directors, and is responsible for systems and procedures necessary to accomplish NSAA’s mission and reach strategic goals set forth by the Board.
The NSAA ED must possess a passion for, and commitment to, providing programs, events and trails that inspire and offer opportunities to improve the health of Nordic skiers and Alaskans in all seasons. The NSAA ED is responsible for the overall implementation of NSAA’s mission. The ED reports to the NSAA Board of Directors. The ED’s job responsibilities include developing and implementing the overall strategy and vision for NSAA and all organizational and operational aspects of NSAA including its administration, financial management, revenue generation, program and event development and activities, operations of trail maintenance and snowmaking, personnel management, and strategic planning.
