March 21-22, 2020
SKAN24 (Ski Kincaid All Night) is a lap-format race. This is the biggest winter relay ski event around! Grab your friends and get out there for a spring party that lasts all night long. Sign up as an 8-person or 4-person team or race it solo and choose the 24-hour race, 12-hour race, or the 6-hour race. For our youngest skiers (ages 6-14), we offer a Youth Quad Team (4 youth racers) for the 6-hour race only, they have a blast!
But the SKAN isn’t just about skiing for a ridiculously long time… it’s about hanging out with friends, family and fellow competitors, it’s about camaraderie and competition, testing the limits of your body (and mind), eating a whole lot of BBQ & pancakes, winning raffle prizes (raffle every few hours all day and all night), hanging out in the warming tents, and enjoying fabulous springtime skiing. Not to mention the dance parties in the wax bunker, cheering for your fellow racers, skiing one-way trails backwards, and having something to look forward to every time you enter the stadium after a lap.
Is it hard? Definitely. Is it worth it? Without a doubt. Will you want to do it year after year because you had SO MUCH FUN? We promise.
Stay tuned for all the race updates by following us on our Facebook page.
Please consider volunteering if you are not racing or if you are planning on being out at Kincaid to support a friend or family member. There is a lot of work that goes into a race like this, and we need help!!! Please contact Race Director’s Geoff & Cathy at: firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested. We’ll post calls for volunteers on the Facebook page or through email.

SKAN24 Race Guide -pdf
There are two 6k courses, which alternate every six hours to allow the other course to be groomed and reset. The second time each course is used, it will be run in the reverse direction, so it’s really like a brand new course every six hours!
This is a freestyle event, and classic skiers are welcome. Racers may alternate between skate and classic, change skis, or rewax throughout the event. It doesn’t matter how you do your laps, as long as you are on Nordic skis (and going the right direction, and following the general race bible guidelines and showing supportive for your fellow racers… in general, being an awesome human)!
Please read the following directions carefully!
1) If you registered for a team category, please enter team member name(s). If you have yet to finalize your team, only enter your CONFIRMED members, please don’t make up names!
2) If you are racing on a team, please note that EVERY racer on your team must complete the full registration process. Entering your team members name(s) will NOT enter them into the event
Bib Pick-Up and In-Person Registration: TBA
also Bib Pick-Up Saturday morning, 8:30-9:30 at the timing building, Kincaid stadium
